Problem in the family
Every family has problems once in a while. But sometimes
family conflict becomes too much. Often, this is because of trouble understanding
each other, changing expectations as you grow older or lack of trust among
family members. When parents shout and are angry with each other, children and
adolescents can show signs of disrupted early brain development, sleep
disturbance, anxiety, depression, conduct disorder and other serious problems
as a result of living with severe or chronic inter-parental conflict. The
separation itself may not be as upsetting to the children as the conflict and
confusion that may surround it. While children react to conflict in
different ways, they are likely to experience fear, worry, and anger. If
the conflict is extremely intense, they may experience emotional trauma,
depression and stress.
